Democracy and Dictatorship
Oakleaf School’s 10th and 11th graders successfully completed and presented an integrated project titled “Democracy and Dictatorship” this semester.
The project involved an in-depth study and analysis of various forms of government, political ideologies, and regimes from both ancient and modern times.
Its primary goal was to enhance students’ research and critical thinking skills by examining significant historical figures, political systems, and ideologies worldwide. By integrating English, history, civics, and geography, the project provided students with a valuable opportunity to apply their language skills in practical contexts. Additionally, it helped develop essential transferable skills such as information gathering, analysis, synthesis, presentation, and visual design.
As part of their work, students delivered TED-style talks and formal presentations and created informative posters.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all students for their dedication and outstanding contributions to the project.
